Blackjack Card Counting

Blackjack game is just like any other game of Cards is played with a standard 52 card deck. Each card is assigned a face value which is equal to the number on the card except the Queen, King, and Jack who are assigned a value of 10. A can be played with a face value of 1 or 11. The objective of the game is very simple; draw cards to reach a total of 21 without exceeding the value of the dealer’s cards.

There are a number of winning combinations but a two card score of 21 is the best. The payouts are in a ratio of 3:2 which means a $5 bet on a two card score of 21 will fetch a winning booty of $7.50 and $5 for other winning hands. In the unlikely event of the dealer also having a two card score of 21 the original bet is returned back. If the dealer goes on to draw 21 in three or more cards the original Blackjack game is still a winner taking home a 3:2 payoff.

Blackjack Table

The Blackjack table is usually semi-circular with places for up to 7 players in the outer rim and the dealer settles in the inner rim. The minimum and the maximum bets are displayed on a rectangular placard at one end of the table. If for example the placard displays the message Blackjack $10 to $1000 it means the lowest wager limit is $10 and the highest wager limit is $1000. If the placard displays the message ‘Split any pair three times. Double on any two cards’ it means that the pairs may be split as per the blackjack rule dealt with below and if more matching cards are played the pair can be split to 3 times for a total of four players.

Four, six, or eight decks are the common format in practice in most games. After shuffling the cards are placed in a receptacle which is strangely named as the Shoe. The dealer can draw the cards, one at a time from the shoe.  Single-deck or double-deck games are immensely popular in Nevada and the Mississippi. Single- or double-deck games are dealt from the dealer’s hand.

Dealing with Faceup And Facedown

The card game is initiated by a player when he places a bet by stacking the chip or chips on the betting area of the table. Every dealer and player has to give two cards after all the bets placed. The players are not allowed to touch their cards in the shoe game as all the player cards dealt faceup. But in the game of double-deck or single-deck game cards are dealt facedown instead of faceup and this game dealt from the hand and the player can choose the card with one hand. Another way is turned faceup one of the dealers card so that the players could be able to see it.
